What is the Difference Between Natural and Synthetic CBD?

Cannabidiol, or CBD, is a compound found in cannabis sativa plants that has been gaining popularity in recent years due to its potential health benefits. In general, natural CBD refers to any CBD that is obtained from cannabis sativa plants, while synthetic CBD is made through chemical or biological processes in the laboratory, such as the use of yeast. Hemp is defined as any part of the cannabis sativa plant that does not contain more than 0.3% of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the mind-altering substance in marijuana. Parents who treated their children with CBD had to proceed based on trial and error, as is the case with folk medicine, and also had to ask themselves if the CBD purchased at the dispensary was professionally manufactured and contained what the package said.

To ensure safety, it is important to store products that contain CBD or THC in child-proof containers and out of reach of children. In 2018, the US government passed a law that removed hemp from the federal Controlled Substances Act, effectively legalizing CBD if it comes from hemp. However, there are still many unanswered questions about the science, safety, and quality of products that contain CBD. In addition to safety risks and unproven claims, the quality of many CBD products may also be in question. Despite this, CBD is widely available without a prescription in dispensaries in states where marijuana is legal.

The FDA has analyzed some of these products and found that many did not contain the levels of CBD they claimed. Admit it, you're reading this because you want to know how to convert CBD oil into THC. This process is called cyclization and involves inducing a molecule of CBD oil under certain conditions to form a completely different chemical compound: THC. While studies have shown that CBD has anti-inflammatory, pain-relieving and antipsychotic properties, only minimal testing has been done in human clinical trials. At the end of June, the United States Food and Drug Administration could approve Epidiolex, a pharmaceutical form of CBD for several serious pediatric seizure disorders. We encourage consumers to think carefully before exposing themselves, their family or their pets to any product, especially products such as CBD which may have potential risks, be of unknown quality and have unproven benefits.
